Prairie Winds Ranches is a select breeder of quality Rocky Mountain and Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horses. When training our horses we concentrate our efforts on the basics. The three basics of stop, turn easily and stand when the rider is mounting. Our aim is to make riding our horses a pleasant experience whether on the trail or in the show ring.

Our young horses are all quiet and love to spend time with us. When we are working on the fence in their pasture they have to come and check everything out. The photo above shows our soon to be 4 year old gelding Trigger in the back with Saphira and Star in front. Flicka's head just shows up .
The photo below shows the four horses again. Trigger is on the left with Flicka, Star and Saphira to the right. They are all chocolates with flaxen manes and tails. Trigger was broken in summer of 2009 and is already very solid in his gait. These horses are all for sale and are shown on either the riding horse page or on the colts and breeding stock for sale page. ?
